B. Steps For Effective affiliate marketing
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

One challenge that plagues affiliate marketers – especially those who do
not have too much money to spare – is the marketing of affiliate products
online. All newbie affiliate marketers start the same way. However, after
years of experience on the Internet, some dollars earned, and a few
hundreds of dollars spent on making a living online, most discover a free
method of Internet Marketing. This method is described below.

1. Open a Clickbank affiliate account. Do a similar exercise with other
such services. Commission Junction is another place where one can have an
affiliate account. (Both these sites offer free affiliate registration.)

2. Choose a product that will sell. You do not need a website in this case.
(You can also create your product – an e-book or software. Then you need to
develop an one-page website about it. Ofcourse, you will have to write a
sales copy for your product. Your sales copy will have to be keyword rich.
Your desired keyword should appear: in the title of your page, in the page
description, in the keyword metatag, in the headline of your page, in the
first 90 words of your sales copy, in the beginning of every major
paragraph or section of your sales copy. This process is called Search
Engine Optimization of your web-page. It is important for search engines to
find your page, even though you have not marketed it. Then register for a
Paypal account – once again free. Put a Paypal button on your webpage.)

The above steps are basic before you can start marketing your affiliate
product or your own product.

3. Post ads for your product on Classified Ads websites. There are hundreds
of them. You can get them by searching for them on Google. Make sure you
include the affiliate link to your product in the ad. Post to each of the
sites. Do this everyday. This step is labor intensive, but it is free
publicity for your product. These classified sites are on an average
visited by 10,000,000 people per month. Potentially that would be the kind
of traffic you can expect for your product, if you are consistent.

4. Register for a Opt-in email service for a lifetime price of $40. Through
this service you can market your product through e-mail to millions of
interested recipients every day of the month. Potentially you will be
marketing to tens of millions of people every month and you will not be
accused of spamming.

5. Posting to blogs is the next step in the free method of Internet
Marketing. The question you have to answer is which blogs to post too. A
free software available to Internet Marketers for this purpose is Comment
Kahuna. This software brings up – based on your keywords – hundreds of
blogs on your topic to which you can post to. The idea is to place your
affiliate or website link in your signature which the software takes care
of for you. Make your comments genuine. Do not just focus on placing your
link. Add value to the blog.

6. The next step is to do a similar exercise with forums related to your
keyword. Always follow posting rules. Add value to the forums.

7.Do article marketing through the numerous free article sites. You will
get hordes of them if you search for them on Google. Follow the rules for
writing as mentioned in their guidelines.
Place your textual links as often as you are allowed to in the article and
in the resource box. Clearly, the article should be on the keyword which
relates to your affiliate product. Make sure your article is sprinkled
adequately with your keyword – in the title, in the body – at least five to
six times, in the resource box, and in the keywords box. This will ensure
that your article appears in search engine results, when that particular
keyword is searched for. If your article is content rich, you will have
repeat visitors.

These steps will bring you massive traffic, and if you are consistent, you
will be able to convert this traffic into sales.

All the best to you in your affiliate/Internet marketing endeavor.

Sincerely,

-Bob Kimball

So You Want To Be An Affiliate Marketer?

Why would you want to be an affiliate marketer?
Simple answer – to make a lot of money.

Furthermore, Affiliates have it pretty easy. They have no product to create, no web hosting to arrange, no sales and download pages to make. Affiliates just locate a product, have a unique link allocated and promote it untill it dies!

Then it is on to the next one, same strategy. No particular loyalty, except to the almighty dollar. Works well if you find plenty of customers.

The downside is that selling affiliate products is a one time only commission – no residual income. For the seasoned marketer, this is not a problem, there are plenty of products to choose from. Mr & Mrs Affiliate can still find a wide selection of products by searching Clickbank, PayDotCom or Amazon. Varying rates of commission are paid, and a sales page is already in place courtesy of the product creator.

Still want to be an Affiliate?

Large commissions, a wide variety of products that are always up to date with the marketplace, and an ever growing market of buyers. This is the world of the successful Affiliate.

The biggest and most important gift any Affiliate can have is the well tuned “gut instinct”. An intuitive grasp of what the next hot product is going to be. If an Affiliate gets in early enough the riches are his, before the rest of the marketers wake up. It can be one hugely profitable campaign.

The other strategy leading to continued success is taking time to build a list as you go. Simply put, use a lead capture page/OTO page before directing the prospect to the sales page. The result is your growing list of prospects who have shown a willingness to consider purchasing a product.

The Affiliates who promote a single product or membership site have a much harder row to hoe. Once the initial launch excitement has worn off, the interested customers are harder to find and the drop out rate has been shown to increase. The next new flavor of the month will take
over, and unless you are a freelance Affiliate someone else will be promoting it.

Membership sites offer the advantage of residual income month after month.

The choice of just what product you are promoting, or membership site you want to earn residual income from is the biggest draw. A vigorous campaign will make you a large amount of money. The system works, and it is really a very simple system. It doesn’t happen by accident, and takes constant action, perseverance and determination.

Fast Money With Affiliate Marketing

Many people are interested in making easy money on the internet
these days, but many just don’t know how to do it. Of course, no
matter what online business you are going into you will have to
learn a few things about that particular business. Be also
prepared to spend some money to get your business started. In my
opinion affiliate marketing is the easiest and cheapest way to
starting an online home business, and it won’t take long before
you start earning some money.

An affiliate program simply means that you sign up as an
affiliate marketer for someone else’s product, send the company
customers, and get a cut each time a sale is made from your
efforts. Affiliate commissions can range from as little as 2% for
high ticket items up to 70% for ebooks and informational type
products. The great advantage of this kind of online business is
that there is no hassle mailing goods to customers, taking
payments etc. You just send customers to the company, and the
company send you money in return. Voilà!

You can market the product(s) through your own website or blog,
or just by advertising your affiliate link, or email your list if
you have one. You can do fine without a website of your own, but
I do recommend that you set up one because you have much more
freedom to do lots of things with your own website.

One of the most appealing aspects of affiliate programs is how
quickly you can begin making money. You can literally sign up as
an affiliate and begin making money in minutes. Your earnings can
be very good with affiliate programs if you pick the right
product and do your part to promote it. As for which programs
would be best for you, I advise that you concentrate your efforts
on one or two products instead of spreading too much. Pick only
top quality products that are of personal interest to you.
Remember, you are starting a business. If it’s not a business
that holds your interest, you won’t be in business very long.

Even though you might be a novice on the internet it’s quite easy
to get started. The best choice is to join an affiliate program
and take advantage of the marketing resources they provide. Then
you will have the opportunity to earn while you learn as well as
your learning curve is shortened. This way you will be in
business fast and start earning money almost immediately.

affiliate marketing is an excellent source of passive income. And
best of all, you can earn this income while sitting in the
comfort of your home. You can work flexi-time, go away on
vacation, and the money will still continue to roll in. In fact
you can have the whole business on automation! Except the
marketing part. Your job as an affiliate is to promote your
partner’s product, and the more effort you put into it, the
higher your earnings.

Bob Kimball

Learn The Basics Or You’ll Be Chasing Your Tail Forever

Thought I’d share this blog post by Derrick Van Dyke with you.
It’s an excellent reminder for everyone and a great lesson for
those just beginning. Let me hear your comments about this.

Learn The Basics Or You’ll Be Chasing Your Tail Forever

Everybody wants a shortcut, a quick fix to their money problems.

I’ve actually heard this more than once, “I need to make x amount in the next two weeks to pay my mortgage. I know nothing about Internet marketing. Will your program do that for me?”

Key words: “Do that for me.”

I think people have seen so many headlines that read, “You can be an overnight success without lifting a finger,” that they actually believe it’s true. And they keep buying product after product thinking they’ll eventually find the one that works.

I’ve asked the people who requested refunds what they didn’t like about my Affiliate Cash Secrets system. The reply is always either, “It’s just the same old stuff,” or “I don’t think I can do it.”

The truth is, they’re just too lazy to make it work.

I’ll be the first to admit. Affiliate Cash Secrets is based on the same marketing principals that have been working for direct marketers on and off line for the last 50 years!

1. Get a list of leads in a target market
2. Sell a product that the market wants
3. Follow up with related products and services

Just about any decent marketing system will get you into profit, but you have to actually take action if you want to see any kind of success.

Learn The Basics Or You’ll Be Chasing Your Tail Forever

Here’s what that means…

First of all, you simply have to get your own domain and hosting if you ever want to be successful online. Period.

Sure. There are a lot of automated websites that claim you can just “point and click” your way to wealth. Don’t believe it. You need to be in control of your business. And when you finally realize it, you’ll have to move everything over (if they let you) from “easy street” to reality and start building a real business.

If you want to set up a squeeze page, you have to learn:

* How to use an HTML editor
* How to use an autoresponder
* How to integrate your subscription form
* How to use FTP software

All that is “basic” stuff. Unless you have deep pockets to pay somebody to do all this for you, these are skills that you MUST possess if you want to ever get anywhere with your business.

And guess what…you don’t have to pay anything to learn this stuff. You can find dozens for free tutorials online.

Just go to Google and enter: video tutorial topic (where “topic” is what you want to learn about).

If you want to sell a resell rights product, you have to learn how to set up a ClickBank or PayPal account. There are tutorials for that…

If you want to create a PDF document you have to learn how to use a word processor and PDF Printer. There are tutorials for that…

I you want to make your PDF viral, you have to learn how to use Viral PDF. There are tutorials for that…

When I first started online in 1997, there were very few tutorials. There were no forums. I had to learn almost everything through trial and error.

I spent at least 10 hours per day learning how to use Microsoft Word, FrontPage, Photoshop, and WSFTP. I learned how to build websites and use autoresponders and eventually how to program in Perl, JavaScript, and PHP.

I put in over 200 hours before I ever made a dime.

Fortunately, you won’t have to spend that much time learning because there is so much more information available today to help you get started.

Ten years ago, there were like three ebooks on Internet marketing that you could download. The rest were expensive home study courses – actual printed manuals!

ClickBank didn’t even exist back then! Want to see what their site looked like when they started in 1999? Go to Archive.org and type in their domain name.

The point of this article is this: if you’ve been “chasing your tail” trying to find the “magic bullet” that will build your business for you, it’s time to get back to reality and learn the basics so you can finally get started.

Wanna get My Business? Here’s how…

More and more people are realizing that the Internet offers great
potential to set up a healthy business for pennies on the dollar.
This is good news for internet marketers – but it also means that
they need to lift their game.

Why? Because the would-be “netpreneur” has access to way more
training than ever before. It’s possible to get up to speed very
quickly on what is needed to get started online. This, in turn,
means that people quickly recognize what offers true value and
what does not. They see so many sales letters that they become,
to a certain degree, immune to the typical hype. They’re willing
to spend – but they want value for money. They want to be treated
like intelligent and discerning adults.

So here’s a message to all ‘gurus’ (and aspiring gurus) who are
keen to get their share of the dollars waiting to be sent flying
their way via cyberspace.

1) What does it take to make people want to buy “you” rather than
some other internet marketer?

2) What might make people want to unsubscribe from your list?

3) And what pushes them into asking for a refund?

What Makes People Want to Buy?

- They buy if they can see that a product will give them new
knowledge and understanding.

- They buy if the purchase will speed up business growth.

- They buy if a product will automate a task that eats into their
time. (People quickly learn to spend their time on marketing and
product creation, rather than repetitive tasks.)

Tip: Once newbies have been exposed to a few sales pages, it’s
not long before they learn to look beyond the sales hype. They
study a sales letter carefully to work out what the product will
“really” offer them. (Do they need this? Or will it duplicate
something else they own?)

They also learn to look for value for money. Some higher-priced
products are worth every cent. Some cheaper products add very
little to what they already know.

(Note: Savvy internet marketers already realize that if they put
together online interviews offering truly valuable information,
they are far more likely to attract and keep new customers. A
quick example: Jane Smith listens to a one-hour audio interview
on search engine optimization and traffic. She finds out some
really useful information she has not so far heard anywhere else.
She decides that this guy knows what he’s talking about and
shells out a couple of hundred dollars for his products.)

What Makes People Want to Unsubscribe from a List?

- Getting four identical emails trying to sell them the same
product, because the sender hasn’t figured out how to move them
from one list to another after they buy.

- Getting a ‘canned’ email sounding full of excitement about a
new product or service – which turns out to be a duplicate of the
email they get from six other marketers who are affiliates for
the same product.

- Getting email from a product creator about anything under the
sun because you bought XXX product from them. If your customers
sign up for a newsletter, they expect mailings.

What Makes People Want to Ask for a Refund?

In the past, buyers tended to shrug and write off a bad purchase.
But increasingly, people are prepared to stand up for their
rights. If they feel they have not received value for money, they
will ask for a refund.

So what makes them decide to ask for their money back?

- Software that doesn’t work as it is supposed to.

- Physical products (CDs, DVDs) that don’t work on their
systems.

- An e-book that is full of content easily found in an hour’s
net-surfing.

- An e-book that has skimped on content or that has been poorly
written.

- An e-book that not only skimps on content but is full of links
to up-sells to get the ‘really valuable’ information, or is full
of affiliate links.

The last case, an e-book full of affiliate links or links to an
up-sell…is something you should be giving away free as part of
your viral marketing campaign. Charge for it and you risk your
reputation for being a source of quality information.

Other things that bite into your customer’s valuable time.

- MP3′s that are streamed from a website rather than being
downloadable.

- e-books that are in “.exe” format only, so the customer can’t
print them out in one ‘hit’ (and can’t access them on a Mac
computer).

Give your clients anything that they can listen to or read away
from the computer. Most of them spend enough hours a day at the
keyboard already. They’d rather load an audio interview
into their MP3 players and listen while they go for a walk or
relax in the sun. They’d prefer to print out an e-book and read
it or mark it up while sitting in an easy chair.

Please, please don’t tether them to the computer!

And finally, about those “name squeeze” pages. People are very
quickly getting tired of having to give up their email addresses
just to get to a sales page. Do you want them to buy or not?
These days, unless there’s a huge buzz around the Net and they
want to see what it’s all about, prospective customers are just
as likely to click the ‘back’ button on their browser, or close
the window and leave.

After all, there’s always another internet marketer waiting to
sell them a product. Probably one very similar to yours.
Marketers who respect their client’s time and intelligence are
the ones who will get their loyalty – and their cash.

That’s it for today …
Make your a GREAT ONE!
