Have you ever been faced with the task of having
to write an email promotion to your list, and
then realized that you didn’t know what to say or
how to say it?

Email Promos Exposed
*************************************************

I decided to see if Michael’s videos live up to
their promise by trying them out myself. Here’s
what I found:

*************************************************
Overall Quality
*************************************************

The first thing I noticed when I opened up the
first video was the stunning production quality.
He used Camtasia Studio for the production, which
is now the industry standard for creating
high-quality screen capture video products. The
audio is near studio quality, and the graphics
are very professional. These videos were made by
someone who KNOWS what he’s doing. Well done!

I also liked how Michael divided the videos up by
section, and then again by sub-section. For
example, one video is all about the subject line,
and then there are different parts of that video
that each cover a certain area of crafting a
killer subject line.

Now let’s move onto…

*************************************************
THE ACTUAL VIDEOS
*************************************************

Here’s a brief summary of each video. Obviously
it’s impossible to list every single thing here,
but I want you to get a feel for what each one
covered, and how well it covered it.

VIDEO 1 – INTRODUCTION

This video served as an introduction to the whole
course. You get to see a picture of Michael in
his every day life, and he establishes his
credibility right up front by talking about some
of his massive successes online. He even provides
proof of credibility by displaying two checks in
the amount of $50,000 and $25,000 which prove
that, when it comes to the subject of making
money with email promos, he knows his stuff.

This is a good lesson for anyone to get. Whenever
you’re teaching people how to do something, it’s
good to establish your credibility up front, so
that there’s no doubt about whether or not you’re
qualified to talk about the subject. Most product
developers either skip or minimize this step.

VIDEO 2 – BEFORE YOU WRITE THE PROMO

This video talks about some things that no other
marketer has bothered to mention. You’ll learn
things like:

* The mindset you need in order to write a killer
promo

* The different tools you need before you get
started

* How to keep your emails laser-focused

* How to create an outline that practically
writes the email for you.

This was a fantastic video, and did a good job of
kicking things off.

VIDEO 3 – THE SUBJECT LINE

I liked this video, because it talked about one
of MY biggest weaknesses when it comes to writing
email promos… the subject line. The subject
line is a confusing topic, because nobody’s 100%
sure what the best tactics are.

Michael breaks it down, and reveals:

* The biggest secret for writing a subject line
that makes people insanely curious.

* Techniques for personalizing the subject line.

* Mistakes to avoid when using personalization.

I was surprised to find that I was making some of
the mistakes that Michael mentioned in this
video, but now I know better.

VIDEO 4 – THE OPENING

This is where a lot of people slack off when
writing their emails. Michael talks about how
important it is to create an opening that is
conversational, and then reveals techniques and
examples on how to do that.

He also reveals:

* How to get people to keep reading your email
once they’ve opened it.

* How to make your opening interesting.

* Mistakes to avoid when creating your first few
paragraphs.

VIDEO 5 – THE BODY COPY

This is one of the “meatiest” portions of the
course, because it reveals techniques that are
not widely discussed on the forums, blogs, and in
most eBooks. He talks about the importance of
keeping your body copy tight and relevant, and
then reveals how you can do that. You’ll also
learn:

* How to write powerful bullets that make people
curious and want to find out more.

* Simple formatting tricks for making your body
copy easy to read.

* The secret of “bucket brigade copy” and how to
use it in your email promos to force people to
keep reading.

VIDEO 6 – THE CALL TO ACTION

This is where a lot of people wimp out in their
email promos. They start out strong, but when it
comes time to ask the reader to click the link
and take action, they don’t know what to say.
Michael talks about some of his favorite
techniques for making that happen, and also
reveals:

* The “magic question” to ask yourself that will
make your close much more powerful.

* The secret of the “unanswered question” and why
handling this is a surefire way to get people to
act right away.

* The structure of a powerful close.

* Mistakes people make when creating their close.

VIDEO 7 – CREATING AN EFFECTIVE P.S.

Some people say that the P.S. is one of the most
important parts of the email, because it is often
the one thing that gets people to click the link
at the end. In this video, Michael talks about:

* Why you should including a P.S. at the end of
your email.

* The 4 different kinds of P.S.’s you can use
(this section was a real eye-opener for me).

VIDEO 8 – COMMON MISTAKES PEOPLE MAKE

I loved this video, because it showed me some
mistakes that I was making that I wasn’t even
aware of. Unless you’re a seasoned pro, you’re
probably guilty of some of the things that
Michael talks about in this video as well, and
that’s why it’s so valuable. I’ve shaved years
off my learning curve, because now I can avoid
some of the costly mistakes that I was bound to
make in the learning process.

VIDEO 9 – HOW TO CREATE FOLLOW-UP EMAIL PROMOTIONS

This video alone is going to make me a lot of
money. Why? Because I used to only send out one
email promo for each affiliate promotion I was
doing. Michael showed me in this video how
important it is to send a follow-up promotion,
and he showed me exactly how to do it. He covered
things like:

* The psychology of follow-up email promo’s.

* The 2 main types of follow-up promos that make
the most money.

* How to overcome readers’ objections in your
follow up emails.

* The 2 most common mistakes people make when
writing follow-ups and how to avoid them.

VIDEO 10 – HOW TO WRITE BACK END EMAIL PROMOTIONS

Every marketing guru out there says that the REAL
money is on the back end. I’d have to agree with
them, but the problem is… most people have no
idea how to set up a back end system that makes
money. This video will teach you how to set up an
automated back end that’s loaded with killer
promos that make you lots of cash on autopilot.
He reveals things like:

* The big difference between regular and back end
email promos.

* How to prepare a back end promotion sequence.

* Common mistakes people make when creating back
end email promos.

VIDEO 11 – CREATING AFFILIATE EMAIL PROMOTIONS

This could be the most important video of the
entire package for a lot of people, because most
people email their list to promote other people’s
products as an affiliate. Let’s face it, if you
only have 3 products, can you really afford to
only email your list 3 times a year? They’ll get
bored hearing about the same old products over
and over again. This video sheds some light on
how to create killer affiliate promos. Michael
reveals things like:

* The two main types of affiliate promos.

* What makes affiliate promos different than
regular promos (and why ignoring this huge secret
could cost you big money).

* Michael’s favorite tactics for creating
affiliate promos that no one else is doing.

* 3 different ways to add scarcity to your
affiliate promos (this is the most important
section of the video, so make sure you watch it
over and over again).

*************************************************
CONCLUSION
*************************************************

As you can see, Email Promos Exposed really packs
a lot of punch! Most of the courses out there
offer only watered down, weak content. Not this
one! These videos are going on my “A-list” for a
long time.

I’ve already watched them twice, and plan on
reviewing them every couple months to make sure
that I have the principals, techniques and
tactics burned into my mind.

If email marketing is an important part of your
business (and in my opinion, it’s the most
important part of ANY online business), then you
owe it to yourself to check out Michael’s
exciting new videos, Email Promos Exposed.

Wanna get My Business? Here’s how…

More and more people are realizing that the Internet offers great
potential to set up a healthy business for pennies on the dollar.
This is good news for internet marketers – but it also means that
they need to lift their game.

Why? Because the would-be “netpreneur” has access to way more
training than ever before. It’s possible to get up to speed very
quickly on what is needed to get started online. This, in turn,
means that people quickly recognize what offers true value and
what does not. They see so many sales letters that they become,
to a certain degree, immune to the typical hype. They’re willing
to spend – but they want value for money. They want to be treated
like intelligent and discerning adults.

So here’s a message to all ‘gurus’ (and aspiring gurus) who are
keen to get their share of the dollars waiting to be sent flying
their way via cyberspace.

1) What does it take to make people want to buy “you” rather than
some other internet marketer?

2) What might make people want to unsubscribe from your list?

3) And what pushes them into asking for a refund?

What Makes People Want to Buy?

- They buy if they can see that a product will give them new
knowledge and understanding.

- They buy if the purchase will speed up business growth.

- They buy if a product will automate a task that eats into their
time. (People quickly learn to spend their time on marketing and
product creation, rather than repetitive tasks.)

Tip: Once newbies have been exposed to a few sales pages, it’s
not long before they learn to look beyond the sales hype. They
study a sales letter carefully to work out what the product will
“really” offer them. (Do they need this? Or will it duplicate
something else they own?)

They also learn to look for value for money. Some higher-priced
products are worth every cent. Some cheaper products add very
little to what they already know.

(Note: Savvy internet marketers already realize that if they put
together online interviews offering truly valuable information,
they are far more likely to attract and keep new customers. A
quick example: Jane Smith listens to a one-hour audio interview
on search engine optimization and traffic. She finds out some
really useful information she has not so far heard anywhere else.
She decides that this guy knows what he’s talking about and
shells out a couple of hundred dollars for his products.)

What Makes People Want to Unsubscribe from a List?

- Getting four identical emails trying to sell them the same
product, because the sender hasn’t figured out how to move them
from one list to another after they buy.

- Getting a ‘canned’ email sounding full of excitement about a
new product or service – which turns out to be a duplicate of the
email they get from six other marketers who are affiliates for
the same product.

- Getting email from a product creator about anything under the
sun because you bought XXX product from them. If your customers
sign up for a newsletter, they expect mailings.

What Makes People Want to Ask for a Refund?

In the past, buyers tended to shrug and write off a bad purchase.
But increasingly, people are prepared to stand up for their
rights. If they feel they have not received value for money, they
will ask for a refund.

So what makes them decide to ask for their money back?

- Software that doesn’t work as it is supposed to.

- Physical products (CDs, DVDs) that don’t work on their
systems.

- An e-book that is full of content easily found in an hour’s
net-surfing.

- An e-book that has skimped on content or that has been poorly
written.

- An e-book that not only skimps on content but is full of links
to up-sells to get the ‘really valuable’ information, or is full
of affiliate links.

The last case, an e-book full of affiliate links or links to an
up-sell…is something you should be giving away free as part of
your viral marketing campaign. Charge for it and you risk your
reputation for being a source of quality information.

Other things that bite into your customer’s valuable time.

- MP3′s that are streamed from a website rather than being
downloadable.

- e-books that are in “.exe” format only, so the customer can’t
print them out in one ‘hit’ (and can’t access them on a Mac
computer).

Give your clients anything that they can listen to or read away
from the computer. Most of them spend enough hours a day at the
keyboard already. They’d rather load an audio interview
into their MP3 players and listen while they go for a walk or
relax in the sun. They’d prefer to print out an e-book and read
it or mark it up while sitting in an easy chair.

Please, please don’t tether them to the computer!

And finally, about those “name squeeze” pages. People are very
quickly getting tired of having to give up their email addresses
just to get to a sales page. Do you want them to buy or not?
These days, unless there’s a huge buzz around the Net and they
want to see what it’s all about, prospective customers are just
as likely to click the ‘back’ button on their browser, or close
the window and leave.

After all, there’s always another internet marketer waiting to
sell them a product. Probably one very similar to yours.
Marketers who respect their client’s time and intelligence are
the ones who will get their loyalty – and their cash.

That’s it for today …
Make your a GREAT ONE!

3 Ways to Win at Google AdWords

Let’s talk about traffic to your site.

Without traffic, you lose.

Therefore, no matter what your business model is, traffic is the
major issue. In this article, we will talk about Google AdWords
pay per click (PPC) advertising which is a way
for you to get targeted traffic to your website. If you’re new, there
are traps.

The first tip has to do with doing your ad
campaign right. When you create a new “ad campaign”, it is better to
make a number of smaller ad groups within that campaign. One of
the big mistakes that you could make is creating a
single ad group and filling it up with hundreds if not thousands
of keywords. It’s better to come up with a few different
categories that describe your business and focus on creating
groups of very tight keywords for each group.

Second tip, learn how to write a killer Ad and get them to click on it.
With the limited number of characters allowed for the ad copy,
one of the best ways to come up with attention grabbing copy is to
learn from the classified ads in newspapers and magazines.
Browse through the classifieds and take note of any ad that really
grabs your attention and ask yourself “why” it works.
When you write ads that get more clicks, you grow your
click through ratio (CTR) and lower the minimum bid that
you pay for each click.

The third tip has to do with testing and tracking your ads.
Be sure to create lots of ads and rotate them evenly to test which
ones result in the best CTR. You will need to run the test so
that each ad gets at least 50 or so clicks. Otherwise, the test
will be invalid if you base your decision on just a few clicks.
When you first set up your campaign, be sure to select the
option to “rotate your ads evenly” because the default option is to
allow the system to automatically optimize showing your best ad
more often. In this case, you’ll not be able to run an
accurate split test.

It’s a steep learning curve for becoming proficient at Google
AdWords. If you don’t give up, however, and master the system,
you will be rewarded with targeted traffic to your webstite.

Hope this gives you a bit better understanding of a good

AdWords campaign..

Until next time, please comment…

Google Adwords Change

Looks like Google has shifted it’s position. Here’s the description I got

today from my friend Ewen Chia:

“Something big happened in the internet marketing world this morning and you need to know about it…

Google have done something which they said they’d never do, and it probably spells the “end” for services like Wordtracker.

Here’s the summary…

- If you’ve ever used Google Adwords you’ll know they always represented search volume for a keyword by a rating out of 5.

This morning they scrapped that, and started showing ACTUAL SEARCH VOLUME for keywords.

Now Wordtracker keyword volumes have always been accused of being wildly inaccurate because they make predictions from only 2-3% of actual search activity.
So now that Google has made a change, more accurate search volume is finally available.

Go try it out here, enter a keyword and you’ll see Google’s estimate of actual search volume – and
this is great news for us internet marketers!

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

How does this affect your keyword and market research?

Now you can be absolutely sure of the size of a niche because there’s no more need to make wild guesses about search volume :-)

Hope you find this useful.

Do You use Adwords/Adsense to market?

Until next post….
