How To Promote Your Network Marketing Business With An RSS Feed

Are you looking to promote your network marketing business by using an RSS feed on your blog? If you’re looking to get repeat visitors to a blog or improve your network marketing strategies, it’s time to get serious about RSS feeds.

An RSS feed is a web feed format that is used to frequently update online content, like blog entries, headlines, weather and breaking news in a universally acceptable format. The letters stand for “Really Simple Syndication,” “Rich Site Summary” or “RDF Site Summary,” depending on who you ask.

RSS feeds make it easy to distribute time-sensitive material to a large number of people. RSS feeds are written in computer code that organizes the information in a way that it is easy to read for the general public.

It is often tedious for the general public to constantly check back on a webpage for new updates. If you allow your visitors to sign up for an RSS feed, they will be notified almost automatically of any changes and updates you make to the content of your website. So, when you post a new blog, add a public speaking engagement to your calendar, offer a new product or make any other change to your web content, an RSS feed will let your client base know about it.

E-mail notifications about updated content were the way to go a few years ago. However, now that e-mail spam filters are working overtime to protect people from unwanted e-mails, it is difficult to get e-mails across to people about your website updates.

RSS feeds are welcomed by your website viewers, and they make it much easier to get your updates spread across the Internet. As an added benefit, an RSS feed will increase web traffic to your site.

So, how does an RSS feed work? When you add a new item to your web page, you need to list it on your RSS channel as an “item.” The item will need to be listed with three bits of information: its title, a description and a link to the item. For instance, if you have a new concert date to brag about, list the item on your channel with the title of “New Concert Date Announced!” and a description of the time, date, place and cover charge of the show. Then, link it to your web-based calendar, and you are all set.

Once the RSS file is completed, be sure to validate it to make sure you entered it properly. Using a Feed Validator service, type in the address to your RSS file and make sure everything looks good. If there is a problem with the code or information in your RSS feed, simply change the item until it looks the way you want it to.

Now, you can syndicate news about yourself or your business and drive traffic to your website in a fast and easy manner. Any time of the day or night, you can update your loyal customers and fans with news and information all around the globe. RSS feeds are a great way to keep your audience informed.

What to Do With a Very Small Mailing List

It’s still true; the money is in the list. Building a list is as important today, as it was yesterday.
No matter how big or how small your list is the names on your list are your prospects. They need to be taken care of and be fed with quality information and products. Quality emails means great informational email articles, reports, ebooks or a mini-course, and your promotional emails.
The free info should be related to your product topic, which you want to promote, even if it is only indirectly. And your promo should be related to the product you stand for as well. Mail out to your list about three times a week, with free informational emails three times in a row and after that you send them a promotion, exactly in that order. Believe me, they will love you for it. Never overload your mailing list with info emails and promos too many times a week. Stay with the advice I give you, which has been very effective for me.
If your prospects get too many mailings a week, they get tired of opening your mail, especially if you send them more promotional then informational mail.
But if you give them a quality mailing three times a week, they are going to look forward to it. And remember, the emphasis is on ‘quality’. Many beginning marketers only have 40 to 50 people in their mailing list. But that doesn’t mean that these people in your list don’t need attention. You want to start treating your mailing list very special from the first person that gets on it. Make each one of them very special to you. And you need to become very special to them. That’s a very good rule to go by. You are going to building yourself an excellent reputation from the moment you start your list. Even if it is just an incredibly small list you still need to take care of them. The first person that subscribes to your list is worth gold. And your list will grow, if you start building your mailing list the right way. Which means, you have to put up your own mini site with an enticing squeeze page.
Setting up a mini site is very easy. There are some free videos that show you step-by-step how to do it. Get them and follow the instructions.
A squeeze page is where you have an opt-in offer. Like an ebook, software, quality report or even a newsletter they can subscribe to. It just needs to be quality information for free, that makes it worth for your list members to sign up for.
This will make your mailing list grow in no time as long as you promote your mini site well.
And I can’t say it often enough. Write articles! It’s the most effective way to promote for free. Even a mailing list of let say 40 people can be a ‘huge’ gold mine. If you build up a terrific relationship with your prospects, this list can make you more sales then a list of 500. And it will grow continually anyway. It’s all about how your relationship will start and develop. The best way to keep in touch with your mailing list is to put yourself on a schedule as described before. By doing so, your prospects will remember you and it will build trust between you and your prospects.
Never forget, every person on your list counts towards your online success. So, go to work and schedule your list, no matter how small or big it is.
This is exactly how I started my own mailing list. And it has worked perfectly for me. I love my list. They are all wonderful people. They know who I am and I know who they are. Not on a personal basis, but through trust and loyalty, that has been built up between us. You can do the same. Honor your list. Always think about the fact, that there are real people behind each name. People you can give real good quality products and information to and who in return will bring you online success.

One challenge that plagues affiliate marketers – especially those who do
not have too much money to spare – is the marketing of affiliate products
online. All newbie affiliate marketers start the same way. However, after
years of experience on the Internet, some dollars earned, and a few
hundreds of dollars spent on making a living online, most discover a free
method of Internet Marketing. This method is described below.

1. Open a Clickbank affiliate account. Do a similar exercise with other
such services. Commission Junction is another place where one can have an
affiliate account. (Both these sites offer free affiliate registration.)

2. Choose a product that will sell. You do not need a website in this case.
(You can also create your product – an e-book or software. Then you need to
develop an one-page website about it. Ofcourse, you will have to write a
sales copy for your product. Your sales copy will have to be keyword rich.
Your desired keyword should appear: in the title of your page, in the page
description, in the keyword metatag, in the headline of your page, in the
first 90 words of your sales copy, in the beginning of every major
paragraph or section of your sales copy. This process is called Search
Engine Optimization of your web-page. It is important for search engines to
find your page, even though you have not marketed it. Then register for a
Paypal account – once again free. Put a Paypal button on your webpage.)

The above steps are basic before you can start marketing your affiliate
product or your own product.

3. Post ads for your product on Classified Ads websites. There are hundreds
of them. You can get them by searching for them on Google. Make sure you
include the affiliate link to your product in the ad. Post to each of the
sites. Do this everyday. This step is labor intensive, but it is free
publicity for your product. These classified sites are on an average
visited by 10,000,000 people per month. Potentially that would be the kind
of traffic you can expect for your product, if you are consistent.

4. Register for a Opt-in email service for a lifetime price of $40. Through
this service you can market your product through e-mail to millions of
interested recipients every day of the month. Potentially you will be
marketing to tens of millions of people every month and you will not be
accused of spamming.

5. Posting to blogs is the next step in the free method of Internet
Marketing. The question you have to answer is which blogs to post too. A
free software available to Internet Marketers for this purpose is Comment
Kahuna. This software brings up – based on your keywords – hundreds of
blogs on your topic to which you can post to. The idea is to place your
affiliate or website link in your signature which the software takes care
of for you. Make your comments genuine. Do not just focus on placing your
link. Add value to the blog.

6. The next step is to do a similar exercise with forums related to your
keyword. Always follow posting rules. Add value to the forums.

7.Do article marketing through the numerous free article sites. You will
get hordes of them if you search for them on Google. Follow the rules for
writing as mentioned in their guidelines.
Place your textual links as often as you are allowed to in the article and
in the resource box. Clearly, the article should be on the keyword which
relates to your affiliate product. Make sure your article is sprinkled
adequately with your keyword – in the title, in the body – at least five to
six times, in the resource box, and in the keywords box. This will ensure
that your article appears in search engine results, when that particular
keyword is searched for. If your article is content rich, you will have
repeat visitors.

These steps will bring you massive traffic, and if you are consistent, you
will be able to convert this traffic into sales.
